  • Lovely little church
  • Ok
  • The Saint Pierre Saint Paul church, located in the center of the village of Orgeval, is a treasure that our neighbors envy us with its imposing bell tower 37 meters high in freestone and its portal classified as Historic Monuments in 1886 and 1926 respectively. , the rest of the building has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1962. Built in 1152 by Agnès de Montfort, it was then rebuilt after the 100 years war in 1490 then enlarged in 1510 until 1549 with the beautiful Renaissance porch which still retains today a large part of its original elements. Our church in Orgeval therefore retains traces of its Romanesque, flamboyant Gothic and Renaissance heritage. Many consolidation and restoration works have been carried out over the centuries; the latest date from 1978, 1998 and 2001, which concerned the roofs, the eastern massif and the southern and western facades. A diagnosis was carried out in 2010 highlighting the very significant deterioration of the north facade (splintered and dark stone), the loosening of the lower parts of the wall and the poor condition of the 1549 portal now supported by unattractive props. In 2012, following a very violent storm, work was urgently launched to completely restore the freestone bell tower following a crack that appeared at the level of the spire. A very beautiful atypical church to visit with curiosity.
  • A magnificent little village church, this church has three different styles respecting the northern style of the region. The styles are: Romanesque, late Gothic and Renaissance. The church has some beautiful stained glass windows inside and has a beautiful light. To visit I recommend. Open Church 🔓👍✅.
  • Very nice Christmas concert by the goldsmith vocal ensemble.
