Create an itinerary including Ile Saint-Louis
The smaller of two natural islands in the Seine, Ile Saint-Louis has the feel of a 17th-century French village in the very center of Paris. The island has only narrow one-way streets, no metro stations, and just two bus stops. Most of the island is residential, but there are several fromageries, restaurants, boutiques, outdoor cafes, ice cream parlors, and a cathedral. Walk over the small bridge connecting the island with Île de la Cité to see artists and street performers, such as musicians, mimes, and jugglers. • This wonderful little island, near the heart of Paris, is worthy of your time. We spent a few hours here and absolutely LOVED it! The island is located literally a couple of blocks from main Paris...

  • Paris at Christmas time was a blast. Weather was around freezing for the first couple of days, but then the rain came and it went up to around 50F/10C. Christmas markets all over town. The best ones.....  more

  • We stayed on Ile Saint-Louis for a month this late summer/fall and absolutely loved it. It's quiet and quaint. To me, it's an honor to stay on this island. It feels like a small town within Paris...

  • A touristic place to relax and looking at the Seine and Notre Dame Church. Below the bridge you can also do a picnic with your friends.
  • An island in Paris France . a place where politicians, artist, singers etc live. Oh, they have a wonderful cheese store, ice cream shop that is well know and much more. Staying on the island right across Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris and watched the beautiful lights at night. We also had a magnificent view of Eiffel Tower. This island has several churches with lovely performances.
  • Very lovely church that is worth the visit. Not so popular among tourist which made it very pleasant to have some peace of mind and have a walk through or even pray.
  • We visited 23 Feb 19. The weather was perfect. The sun was shining and walk the 90 minute walk was fantastic. We leisurely looked at the small book and art stalls all the way down the side of the river. We popped in the various restaurants and bars along the way. The architecture on the buildings are amazing. You can see the river boats going up and down the river. I must say they were heaving both top and bottom. But this is a nice walk leading to other areas in Paris which you’ll come across and be pleased to see.
  • Nice little streets and great location for a little rest. There are many cafes and restaurants. You can sit near the river and relax. We had some coffee watching the boats and enjoying the weather.
