    Spectacular sheer rock faces greet you around every bend. This gorge is one of the best. It is well deserved of the often overused word "awesome"

    A wonderful gorge to drive through if you are travelling between Ariege and the Perpignan area. The autumn colours were fantastic too. Highly recommended! (Be aware that it is not a fast route - 50kms per hour on this stretch - but well worth it if you have the time to meander.)

    What a splendid landscape!!! Breathtaking. Driving through the "ring" of stone and then close to the river, on a narrow road, it is such a great experience. In fact all the road from Foix to Argeles is one of the best we've seen in term of landscapes! I love the Pyrenees!

    We didn't know at all, that she was surprised to find herself there, with a short stop on a picnic area where we soaked our feet in the Aude. It was wonderful.

    Driving by this place is a fantastic experience!!! The rocks form ledges covering the road at some points and the path runs parallel to the river where groups can be found practicing rafting. It's exciting!
