Only 12 minutes away by ferry from the port of Le Brusc, the tiny Ile des Embiez is often called a little piece of paradise. Six km (3.7 mi) of coastline wrap around the .9 sq km (.35 sq mi) island, striped with several wild creeks where you can swim in crystal clear water. Divers especially can enjoy the sea depths, while others can sunbathe on the beaches, play tennis, visit the museum-aquarium, hike in the forest, or wander through a vineyard. The island, which has strict environmental protections, features a couple of hotels and a handful of restaurants. • Not a lot to see but very nice beaches if you like rocks in the water and crystal clear waters. There are a few bars/restaurants but the ones in Six-Fours-les-plages ate better.

  • We took the boat trip to the Island, when we arrived the views are just amazing, the sea is crystal clear and that lovely torquoise colour. Truly amazing place to visit would recommend.

  • We arrived to demolishing equipment knocking buildings by wharf down. Tourist office said we can buy food from restaurants. NOTHING was open. We couldn't even buy a coffee. Island was disappointing...
