Some of the interior of Le Capitole can be traced to the 16th century, but the current Neoclassical façade dates back to 1750. Made of pink marble and 135 m (443 ft) long, it boasts eight columns that represent the original eight capitals of the 16th century. In 1873, Eugène Viollet-le-Duc built the bell tower on top of the donjon or inner tower, in the typical northern French style. Only the Henri IV courtyard and gate survive from the original medieval buildings. Today the building houses the city hall, as well as an opera company and a symphony orchestra. The place has its charm during the day and at night. Especially in summer life comes alive after sunset. The attraction is the 12 zodiac signs on the floor.

The main square in the city center of Bordeaux. In decenber there is this nice Christmas Market where you can go shopping, eat or drink a hot wine.

During the day it was kind of a market, and the square it is surrounded with bars and restaurants, during the night it’s impressive to see due to the lights that highlight the capitole. It’s a must place in Toulouse.
