  • Beautiful and large catholic cathedral. Huge stained glass throughout. Detailed history of the construction over many centuries. Worth a visit.

  • The impressive cathedral of Tours (built in the years 1170-1547) is a must-see when visiting the picturesque city. But don’t just shoot all your photos from the outside - do yourself the favour...

  • You can see this church as you cross the Loire River. The outside is full of ornate carvings and the inisde is the typical setup but the stained glass and carvings surpass many other churches in...

  • It's an excellent place to visit, with a pretty little square in front with benches. It's right along the Loire a Vélo trail and made for a pretty stop. The windows and light are so beautiful.
  • A very impressive cathedral. You can even spend long time just staring at all the sculptures on the outside. Every corner in the cathedral is different, the colours, patterns and paintings are so captivating. If you are in town, you have to go and visit here.
  • Well worth a visit €3.50 to go in all areas and photo exhibit. Gothic frontage and beautiful stained glass windows. Some renovation work being carried out so some noise and scaffolding.
  • Very impressive cathedral, standing in place of three others that came before - the earliest dating as early as the 300s AD. Built over 3 centuries. The very slow construction of the cathedral led to a local saying: "... not until the cathedral is finished", to mean something particularly long and difficult to achieve. Super impressive portals and glass paintings, although I have to say the recent renovation of one glass painted aisle looks completely butchered. Anyway, absolute must if you’re in the area.
  • Stunning gothic style cathedral. I have never seen stained glass art like it in my life
