Take a peek into Marie Antoinette’s favorite places to get away from the pomp of Versailles at The Trianons & The Hamlet. Walk across the gardens or ride the petit train to reach the Grand Trianon decked out in pink marble. The Petit Trianon and the surrounding park reflect the queen's eclectic, free-thinking nature through their rural, rustic surroundings. Inside The Petit Trianon, see her modest bedchamber and simple furnishings. At Le Hameau (Hamlet), survey the ill-fated queen's retreat overlooking Grand Trianon Lake, where the environment stands in stark contrast to the formal gardens at Versailles. Just a beautiful add on to a day at the Palace of Versailles, or by itself. The Chateau and Village are so lovely. Happy I spent some time enjoying the Chateau and walking the grounds and gardens...

Absolutely magical place. This garden reaks with scented flowers that fill up your lungs with magic. It’s also great since not a lot of people go there. We had a very nice romantic picnic.
-
Beautiful but had issues during visit. Had tickets that didn't allow access to the gardens because it was a special day. Bought extra ticket to gain access. Rented golf cart to go to the far side of the estate and had to scan tickets to get back through to the main building. Later, tried to go back into the garden, we weren't allowed because the ticket was only good for 2 scans. Not told this when purchased. Seemed like a racket! We left early and disappointed. Felt ripped off. Read the fine print!

Marie Antoinette was so lucky to have lived here, but unlucky later in history. It is probably everyone’s dream to have such a lovely little “getaway” home. Beautiful and pretty - even a visit in winter is nice. Less crowds. But summer I’m sure is better to visit because the plants and flowers will be in full bloom and will be so wonderful.
-
Beautiful place no wonder Marie Antoinette loved that little mini village. I do however recommend renting the golf cart to make it there or you're going to need to be phisicaly fit it's a bit of a trek. Bring a water bottle it's hot Bucket list ✅

A secluded, magical place. Amazing grounds and a beautiful hamlet to transport you back centuries. A magical place for the entire family to enjoy.
