at low tide a walk on the beach from Houlgate in the direction of Villers s Mer at 07.30 am. nice sunrise over the ‘falaises’ . we found several fossils of oysters and other shells. nice and relaxing.... more

Not that impressive, just a lack cliff so if you don't have a guide to understand what you are looking at you would probably not even notice them!!

Didn't live up to the expectations, but it was still interesting for a while. Go during low tide, and walk along the beach from villa de sur until you reach the cliffs. Digs are allowed, just not on/under the cliffs themselves. Take enough water, it gets hot!

To be seen at low tide to look for fossils. We find them very easily, and if we are lucky, we can find beautiful amonites. To identify them easily, to be combined with a visit to the Paleospace. Easy access via Villers-sur-Mer beach. Boots or walking shoes recommended.
