Rangiroa Diving Center, Avatoru

Diving with Rangiroa Dive Center was an incredible experience. They focus on safety of both divers and marine life, which was very important for my partner and I. There is a briefing before each dive, which was very helpful on days that we experienced strong currents. The dive masters check in with you constantly throughout the dives and are VERY good at finding sharks, dolphins, and turtles. They promote observation instead of interaction so that the wildlife can stay wild. Irianu, our boat captain, was a master at maneuvering the boat around huge waves while simultaneously getting divers geared up and in the water. Everyone was super friendly and gave great advice on improving our diving skills. We will definitely be back, and we will be choosing this dive center again.

Arnauld is absolutely amazing! Is a compassionate owner and loves the sport. The whole dive shop was absolutely amazing and very welcoming. My girlfriend was newly certified and was extremely nervous and we tried a different dive shop but it was so hectic and disorganized that she ended up not being able to dive with them. However, Rangiroa Diving Center was amazing and catered to her needs. They recognized she was nervous and made her feel comfortable. They made little adjustments throughout the dive to make her a better diver. I definitely feel like l've found a new home and family. They were so accommodating. They worked hard to get us to see what we wanted. The dolphins for sure but wanted to see some seahorses/macro stuff as well so he made that happen. The dive center is conveniently located and the staff is amazing. Martin helped my girlfriend on her first dive and got her back in the water without any issues unlike the other dive shops. The other dive shops also encourage touching of wildlife which is highly inappropriate and against one of the cardinal rules of diving. The dive shop is right next to two snacks: Lily and Puna so there are great options to eat. It is also right next to the dock and dive sites. We did 8 dives each with Rangiroa Diving Center and they were amazing. I will, definitely go back again and see them for dives here. Highly recommended!!! OH! And I almost forgot. Unfortunately, I booked my trip to Rangiroa pretty late, and almost all of the diving spots on the island was completely booked. Arnauld was completely booked too but when he found out we didn't have any dives booked with anyone, he went out of his way to rearrange his schedule to fit us in and we ended up getting 8 dives in each! We will be forever grateful for the opportunities that he gave us. Thank you so much Arnauld! We will be back.

If you’re considering to start diving in Rangiroa, you can’t go wrong with Rangiroa Diving Center. Arnauld was quick and clear responding to our many questions beforehand. We selected a private SDI Open Water certification course for the two of us and completed the eLearning from home. Once in Rangiroa, our instructor JC was the best. Patient, understanding and reassuring - and a great guy all around! We felt very welcome in the team and made 6 great dives in 3 days with JC. Everything on time but with a relaxed island vibe, using new equipment, and great care for the divers. Safely comes first with clear dive briefings and we liked the way the team promotes respecting all marine life. The underwater world here is just unbelievable; we combined dolphins, sharks, rays, turtles, and many, many other colorful fish in just a couple of dives!

The most fantastic and amazing diving experience in my life. I and my wife did 1 refresh dive and 5 fun dives during 3 days. I just have about 40 dives before, safe and comfortable dive were recommended. Around Tiputa pass, there are so many fishes, sharks and dolphins! I met dolphins every morning, they even seemd to remember me. It was not only diving but encounter with high level intelligent life. I will cherish this memories for the reat of my life. All the instructors were well trained and led well. I just want you to know this, we may have been simple customers to you, but to us you are everything about Rangiroa Diving.
