  • A black sand beach that has great waves for surfing. It has good car parking and toilet facilities. Not much other infrastructure around, but worth a visit

  • Awesome beach, the sand is very hot because it’s black. but it was a great time watching the surfers. Worth checking it out!!!!Beach also has a bar and shower area.
  • Fantastic beach. Ample parking, bathrooms, a little snack shop, surfing, shade, hot black sand
  • Don't expect the white sand beaches you might think French Polynesia is famous for; Tahiti has primarily volcanic black sand beaches and they are great. This is a wonderful beach to enjoy a sunset, and watch all the surfers (there are some really talented locals). They also surf way into the night, no idea how they can see. There are usually quite a few people here, but it's a huge beach so it's easy to spread out. Plenty of parking, and there are areas to BBQ away from the beach as well, along with a snackbar.
  • One of the few places to surf on the beach without having to take a boat out of the lagoon. There is an outside wave you can paddle to also. Warm blue water cobblestone and black sand beach.
  • Beautiful black sand beach with modest waves good for boogie boarding, and some strong currents. Water temperature is very nice, and there are snack restaurants nearby just off the sand. Keep in mind the sand is hot so wear foot protection
