Poe Charter Tahiti, Papeete

We did the 1day tetiaora trip in November and it was amazing! We were blessed with sun and flat sea so the experience was flawless. Tetiaora was so beautiful with it's lagoons, deserted beaches, birds, the highlight of our whole trip. The crew was very friendly, breakfast was good, lunch one of the best if the trip. Passing the reef in the small boat felt safe given the expertise of the crew. We read the other reviews, and i can understand the experience would be less pleasant with a strong sea, but check the forecast ahead of time. At the time we went they also seemed to cancel when the conditions were not good. So really, strongly recommend if the weather is good. This is a place of outstanding beauty. Speaking french was a plus, as most passengers were french, but they seemed to be ready to accommodate English speakers.

**** ATTENTION: READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING ******* **** ATTENTION: NEVER BOOK WITH POE CHARTER **** POE charter changes the boats of the contract and cancel booking without any major reason. In my case, I chartered with a boat called POE Miti. However, POE changed my boat with POE Reva, that was not ready to sail and cancel my booking 3 HOURS BEFORE MY DEPARTURE !! Seven days later, I was anchor with POE Miti. So, POE Miti was given to another customers that chartered for a longer period !! This is the mail pf POE: "The catamaran was in a shipyard last months for a refit, and we just picked-it up yesterday. Our captain just told me that there are many critical problems with the boat and we cannot charter it for the moment. We don't have any other choice than canceling the booking. We need to order the services of an expert before being able to charter her. And with Christmas, it won't be possible to have this service as well as all the problems solved before your client arrive." Yes, I know. It is incredible. Please, do not charter with POE !!!!

Not worth at all, not even half of the journey time on catamaran was spent on the island/lagoon. traveling for 3hours to reach and spent only 2hrs on the island. Nothing fascinating (food, facility on the boat,etc) during the tour, no entertainment/engagement on the ship it was a very boring 6 hours(3 hours 1 side) journey. At last they returned back without even letting to do any snorkeling on the lagoons.

We missed our boat to tetiaroa because we had some technical problems with our phone.. we couldn’t understand the instructions on how to park next to le Moana restaurant (underground parking was blocked off at 0545), but the manager called me back and agreed to refund me! When I first called, I spoke to a guy who wanted to deny the refund, but someone else called me back to help! Next time we go back, we’ll use this company to go to Tetiaroa!

I'd give them ZERO stars if I could. Could not come because of covid. Said they would refund money but then stated it was spent! Meanwhile, they bought 2 new boats! In trying to communicate, Bruce, the owner, hung up on me and would not answer the phone. So unprofessional. I was able to reverse the charge on my credit card, but he kept my $2K deposit.
