Moorea Fun Roadster, Papetoai

Stephan met us on time at Hilton Moorea parking lot. He showed us the details about the car, took our drivers license to record information for the insurance, pointed out spots on the island and off we went. The car itself is definitely has wear and tear, seatbelt is clunky, car engine is very loud and the steering is not the best. Would recommend driving very carefully if you book this. He does require you to fill up the tank or pay 4500 flat fee after. Took 3 hours to drive around the entire island with many shopping stops along the way.

Punctual drop off and fun but overused, overpriced and definitely unsafe to drive after dark. We had a mini jeep with 57000km on the clock. The transmission was clunky, the brakes were not very responsive and the handbrake simply didn’t work anymore. At night you won’t be able to see much: the lights are weak and you will be blinded by the dashboard, completely unsafe to drive. At AU$300 per day do yourself a favour and rent a decent car.

Stephan and his wife were great. They met us at the dock with two roadsters, showed us places to visit on the map and away we went. It was a fun and relaxing way to see the beautiful sites of Moorea. We rented last minute the night before. They were easy to communicate with and very pleasant people. Highly recommended!
