  • Hello! I write this review to inform everyone this an EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TRAIL. Once you leave your car and start waking to the waterfalls (1 hour walk aprox if you’re fast) there are thunderstorms in the center of the island that you do not see. Today we had a sunny day and suddenly came a huge flash flood that almost killed me and my family!! DONT GO IF YOU ARE NOT AN EXPERT. There have been deaths before in this place for the same reason.
  • Very beautiful valley to visit
  • This valley of Papenoo is magnificent! We did it from start to finish on a wonderful day with a local guide, 4/4 obligatory, swimming at the blue waterfall, the vegetation is lush. With snack and plenty of water.
  • The Papenoo valley is the only cross-road in Tahiti. It allows you to enter the heart of the island. About 36 km long, allow a good half day of crossing. Many points of view. Endless waterfalls and all magnificent. Cirques, crests and peaks are magical. A real movie set. Lake Vaihiria is sumptuous also fed by some waterfalls. The flora is superb. Be careful, however, the crossing can only be done by 4x4. Many fords and very rough road. I recommend this beautiful discovery to you because I am sure that you will feel transported to paradise.
  • To do absolutely! It is the jewel of the island... to do with a tour operator (crossing the island is the best) or in a 4x4 only as one side of the other is too dangerous
