The ancient Signagi City Walls surround a small hilltop town, nestled in a dramatic setting of mountains and open plains. Occupying an area of 40 hectares (100 acres), this fortification ranks among the largest ones of its kind in Georgia. Walk along the cobblestone paths and see more than 20 towers and six stone gates that remain of the original fortification. Look over the fence for unmatched views of the town and its surroundings. If you have lots of time, climb the nearby hills and discover forgotten graveyards and historical monuments.     There’s a restaurant near the wall that serves disgusting food and the staff are very rude. It’s a tourist trap. Never to set foot in there.
