Jewish Museum Berlin is one of Europe's largest venues dedicated to Jewish history. A sobering exhibit dedicated to the reign of the Third Reich presents Germany through the eyes of the Jewish minority. Important events in Jewish history are portrayed via fine art, manuscripts, photographs, and family memorabilia. Two millennia of German-Jewish history are on display in the permanent exhibit space, as well as in several changing presentation areas. All of this is spread over two buildings, one of which is designed by architect Daniel Libeskind. The staff can accompany you through the exhibits. Or you can use an audio guide and explore this comprehensive history museum at your own pace. One of the best museums I've ever been to. We're actually coming back tomorrow! So engaging, and every detail is carefully designed and deeply evocative. I would skip the Berlin Wall Museum and come here instead.

Amazing museum. The building itself is an experience. The concept behind his architecture blew my mind. The core exhibition is free and well worth the walk and time spent. A must visit for any museum lover.

Very interesting place of Jewish history, naturally with a big emphasis on the holocaust. Terrifying facts about how humanity is capable of straying from the path of compassion and dignity with unbearable consequences. The entrance was free which makes very good sense considering the importance of remembering the atrocities of the past in an increasingly ignorant future.

Brilliant work, unbelievable how the art is so captivating and makes you feel what those poor souls must have felt during the holocaust. A highly recommended activity while visiting Berlin.
-
Huge museum - spent 2.5+ hours at a leisurely pace. You'll learn about Jewish history and culture from its origins up to the modern era - and of course, it dedicates a huge portion of the museum to the Holocaust. There are immersive and multimedia exhibits so it's not all just photos/ items.
