Burg Hohenzollern is home to a wealth of Prussian artifacts--including a letter from U.S. President George Washington thanking Baron von Steuben for his service in the American Revolutionary War. It's also the ancestral seat of the Hohenzollern family, who became German Emperors. The castle complex, chapels, and cellars can be explored independently. Look for the crown of Wilhelm II, plus King Frederick the Great's personal items. To see the interior rooms, you must take a guided tour (most are in German). Check the website for more information about English tours. Plan to visit Burg Hohenzollern during your Bisingen vacation using our convenient Bisingen online journey planner.

Loved touring this castle. Picture taking of the outside was great! They tell you no photos but everyone was taking them. The beergarden was closed so that was a disappointment and you don't go...

The fort is amazing, I've never seen anything like it! It's massive and breathtaking! The interior and the furniture inside are mostly preserved, so you can experience the old Prussian luxury and elegance. There are also endless passages and staircases, the royal treasury is a must-see, and the bastion with a collection of weapons would be interesting to any history buff. And the photos don't do it justice, you won't be prepared for the magnificent view and the gigantic castle. Definitely worth the visit, you won't regret it!

Was able to see several spaces of the castle. Bring at night there was a Christmas light show going on - children really enjoyed it. The decorations didn't take away from the experience but rather enhanced it. The snow made for a beautiful touch. Recommend highly

On the way to the castle, seeing its silhouette in the distance was amazing, then actually being next to it was even better. At the time of my visit, there was still some construction work going on, so we were only able to walk around the courtyard and along the walls, and could only enter the 2 chapels. I would've loved to explore the entire inside of the castle, but regardless, it was still great.

Amazing drive up to the castle. Enjoy the history of the castle grounds with a pint with pals and some comfy slippers as you tour the inside! Would recommend making this a spot on your Southern Germany tour.

What a beautiful castle! Especially the Royal Winter Magic. They offer shuttle bus from station to the gate of the castle, however, when going back, you have to wait till 20:21. Recommend: not to walk down hill by yourself as it's really dark and dangerous, take a shuttle bus or a car.
