Bremer Stadtmusikanten is a bronze statue of four stacked animals by Gerhard Marcks depicting the Town Musicians of Breman. In the lore of the Brothers Grimm, a donkey, dog, cat, and rooster left their farms and owners, deciding to head off together--as their own masters--to become musicians. Along their journey to Breman, they notice burglars in a cottage. They stand on one another's backs to see in the window, making a racket to scare away the burglars. Long story short: The animals end up living in the cottage (which isn't actually in Breman), fat and happy, for the rest of their days. This is the towns historic statue so is something that you must see when visiting. It. Is not large and can be busy with other tourists visiting.

Nice little piece to see. It gets very busy and you'll find it hard to take any pictures or spend any time here if you go here at lunch or early evening. Best advice head here early morning, 8am...

We have the most amazing time around Bremen, the wine and food from the rathaus keller were the best in our trip. Be sure to walk through the small streets and hidden corridors.

So much history and beauty! Bremen truly is a must visit for anyone who wants to travel and explore Bremen. I loved every second of my trip to Bremen and will definitely go back. Hopefully soon.

The stars of Bremen and situated within the town hall. There are restaurants to dine in in and around the area, as well as the St Catherine's Church nearby. Gift shops are also a stone throw away for those looking to buy gifts for friends and family.
