Create an itinerary including Marktplatz
Marktplatz, with its impressive UNESCO-recognized town hall, offers you a look back into the many centuries of Bremen's history. Drink in the atmosphere and snap some photos of the architecture and statues of the Town Musicians of Bremen of fairytale fame. Ask a local to show you the Bremen hole and you can put a coin in to hear the musicians play. At least twice a year, a market takes over this community space, which covers 3,484 sq m (37,500 sq ft). • A very pleasant main square and surrounding buildings. A lot of old and historic buildings. Well worth a visit and walk around.

  • Really pretty square, one of the nicest I've seen in Europe. Don't eat in the restaurants around the square as they're mostly tourist traps (expensive and very average).
  • You should definitely go here, most of Bremen's most famous places are here. Rathaus, church, Bremen Roland, Bremen musicians, becks museum. There are various options for souvenirs, eating, drinking, coffee and beer. You will love the unique atmosphere of Bremen :)
  • Schnoor the old district Bremen oldest district the schnoor quarter is full of narrow lanes and historically listed buildings Schnoor is low German for Schnur which means string the past ropes and cables for ships were made in the quarter nowadays charming shops invite you to Browse Schnoor is ranked among the most beautiful streets in the World
  • Main square of the city with many nice historical buildings and tourist attractions - Bremen Musicians sculpture, Town Hall, Cathedral, Roland statue. All buildings are very old and a bit dark, you can almost feel that old atmosphere of the city (almost because of great number of tourists). It's a very popular place in Bremen - very crowded by tourists. Also, some city events are taking place here. Trams are going across the square so need to be careful while looking at the buildings. One more interesting attraction - a special manhole with a hole, after putting there a coin you can hear the voice of one of the Bremen Musicians. It's located near the souvenirs point.
  • Pretty squares with unique old buildings
