Unser Lieben Frauen Kirchhof (German: Our Loving Lady Churchyard) is a central square in Bremen between the Bremer Marktplatz, Obernstraße, Sögestraße and the Domshof. The square is used as a flower market. The appearance of the square is quite consistent: sandstone (as in the church), dark brick (as in the Rathaus) and clinker brick.

  • Located in the central square of Bremen by the flower market it is in my opinion just another unremarkable building.

  • Unser Lieben Frauen is Bremen’s oldest parish church constructed between 1012 -1029. It has some good stained glass windows and it’s worth going along to.

  • Very nice old church just near the famous Town Musicians of Bremen sculpture and Market square. Place around is very lively - big flower market near the church and many street cafes.
  • PROS: awesome cultural heritage | pedestrians friendly | many food stops available CONS: crowded
  • If you walk from the main train station in Bremen it will take you about 20 minutes to reach this church. It dates from the 11th century and it was originally dedicated to Saint Vitus (centuries later it was consecrated to the Virgin Mary). This church should top the list of places to visit if you are in Bremen without a doubt!
  • Very nice church!
  • Old quiet church otherwise no tourists visit if not for the Musicians tale. Friar was sitting there at his desk. His work place.
