  • Easy to find; just on the main strip with many museums, a beach and a pier. Very small space to climb through to get to the end with museum areas throughout the submarine from one end to the other.

  • A unique museum! If you go to Bremerhaven, this is a must-see place. 🥰 Before visiting it, we thought it is a normal museum in shape of a submarine with some photos hanging inside it; but it is actually a submarine with all of its real details, furniture and equipment. There is just one level open for visiting, however, there are some cameras for other levels (basement level) and you can control them to see the other sections. As it is a real submarine, the ceiling is not that high, so watch you head during your visit 😇. It is open everyday from 15 March till 10th of November (even on Sundays and holidays). Although the ticket is very cheap, but you can also get a discount on tickets using your student card 😉
  • A well presented museum. The entrance fee was good value . Well worth a visit. There are explanations in German and English which is a bonus. It's amazing how they managed in such a confined area.
  • Worth seeing a real 2nd WW submarine from the inside! The engines, a missile, but especially the bedrooms with the bunk beds and the kitchen and the two toilets. The visit will take just about ten minutes, one way through it.
  • Interesting history of this vessel. If you are in town, it is worth visiting.
  • The experience of seeing a submarine from the inside, the small space where a crew of 58 had to work together, and to see so much technology cramped in there, is really a great experience. All information boards are in German and English. To get from one compartment to another, you have to climb through small circular doorways. And with an entry fee of 3.50 Euro per adult, it is definitely worth seeing.
