Create an itinerary including Zoo Duisburg
A breeding ground for koalas, Zoo Duisburg is one of Germany's largest zoological gardens. Fossa and Red River hogs also breed successfully in the park's recreated habitats. Although a highway divides the attraction, the park's design and the leafy trees next to the road keep the traffic noise barely perceptible. In any case, you'll be too distracted with the playful antics of the zoo's large dolphin population in the Dolphinarium. Visit the Dolphinarium between shows for free, or buy a separate ticket to enjoy the spectacle. The Equatorium, the largest section of the park, is the home to many primate species from the equatorial region. Our Duisburg trip tool makes visiting Zoo Duisburg and other Duisburg attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

  • This is an amazing zoo with plenty of animals to see. It was fantastic to get up close to so many bigger animals including lions, tigers and elephants. Well laid out with the added bonus of needing to use a beautifully crafted bridge to cross a railway and motorway to get to the other half. We didn't catch many of the events but that didn't soil the day, but the dolphin show was amazing and good fun. Food is available throughout the attraction (although several kiosks were shut on our visit). Good day out for the whole family and reasonably priced.
  • The zoo not so big, it doesn't have a lot of species and varieties. The space they offer for animals is better than other places I have visited before. The environment for each animal is almost matching their original by heat and hot. The dolphins part is closing at 4 PM so if you want to see them put in mind to go earlier. I can give it 6 from 10 degrees.
  • A wonderful experience.... beautifully maintained...large enough space for the wild animals and it's a real place for the people to enjoy. The dolphin show was the show stopper and the stellar performance by the wonderful dolphins under the able guidance of their trainer was a delight!
  • A great day out loads to see and do. The animals seem well cared for and there seemed to be enough space for them without being huge enclosures. I thoroughly enjoyed the dolphin show but felt a bit guilty about enjoying such intelligent animals in a captive setting. It was great to see that the zoo had a lot of conservation programmes including some delightful Koalas. Whereas I love having the opportunity to see animals I would otherwise not see I feel uneasy about visiting a zoo. The range of animals to see is impressive from giant Tortoise and Otter to the Dwarf Donkeys they all look clean and well cared for. Highlight for me were the White Wolves. It is a great day out and I would recommend it to anyone.
  • It was fun, the animals very gentle, doing their thing. Their environments were kept clean, the Chinese garden looked so colorful. I loved my visit and thanks. 😊
