  • Couldn't quite fathom why this was rated the third best thing to see in Dusseldorf, but, nonetheless, I happened upon it by chance and spent a moment with it, before continuing to explore.

  • I loved the Altstadt of Düsseldorf it was really unique.
  • The city elevation monument is a monument commemorating the granting of city rights to Düsseldorf. It is located on the corner of Joseph-Wimmer-Gasse and Müller-Schlösser-Gasse in the old town. The sculpture was made by Bert Gerresheim. It was built in 1988 to mark the 700th anniversary. The motives include the battle of Worringen, the sealing of the city's deed of eligibility and the elevation of the parish church dedicated to St. Lambertus to a canon monastery.
  • The Stadternahmemonument is the most unique statue I have ever seen. Located in the Old Town, this large monument was created in 1988, commemorating the 700th anniversary of the city rights to Dusseldorf, Germany. We were treated to a detailed explanation of this beautiful statue by locals Klaus & Karin! The statue depicts the Battle of Worringen, the City Seal, and Parish Church. The statue is in a bustling area of town, where there is so much to see and do. Do yourself a favor and check out this magnificent monument!
  • It is a very nice city. And it is a very beautiful place to be, the vibes are very nice.
  • I loved this monument. Unfortunately there is no English description. But it has incredible details.
