Visit Germany's second oldest zoo, Zoo Frankfurt, to see a 13 hectare (32 acre) green oasis of wild animals. The zoo features more than 4,500 animals from more than 450 species. Discover the true kings of the jungle in the Borgori Forest Ape House. Or you can explore the many fish, penguins, and crocodiles that inhabit the Exotarium. Consider taking the city's underground metro to the zoo to avoid paying high parking fees. Start your trip to Frankfurt by creating a personalized itinerary on Klarna Trips.

The best moment in zoo was the playground… :) Our feeling was that the animals didn’t have enough space. They don’t have tables to eat with kids near of playground! It was well conserved the bathrooms on entrance were clear the other need maintenance. The zoo was not so big. We give 3 stars based on cost, size and with our experience visiting others zoos. Points to improve to made an visit easy for a family. Recommended Frankfurt visit card for 2 days!

Must to be visited if you're in Frankfurt, especially with the children. Zoo itself mostly looks like a big park. If would be better to do it during the sunny days, son you fully enjoy your visit. Again, labels and boards with explanation of the animals, insects, reptiles on German only. Try to get a face mask on you before entering or get the one it at the main entrance - mandatory when visiting "apes world" - otherwise precise Germans will remind you about it every 3rd step while inside.

I visited Zoo Frankfurt with my 2 1/2 year old son. We enjoyed seeing the nice variety of animals and the facilities were fairly clean. We were able to find ample parking at a nearby parking garage. Unlike several of the zoos we have been to, most of the exhibits were hard for our 2 1/2 year old son to see on his own. The viewing glass was often too high for him and I would have to hold him. Also the glass in most of the exhibits were hard to see through. These were the only two downsides to the zoo and other than that, we enjoyed our time there.

Amazing to see a zoo maintained in the middle of such a busy City. Had reasonably good collection of animals. But the cages are built to provide closer to natural ambiance for the animals that in several cages the animals are probably inside their resting area that they are not visible for visitors. From the animals point of view it is good for them that they are not disturbed too much. But from visitors point of view it might be disappointment that we could not see some of them. Also the water in the reservoirs are not that clean. Though it was really good some thing was not giving me full satisfaction to give a 4 or 5 start. This is probably the first time I see a zoo having ants, fly, several varieties of rates and bats. Highlights are Penguins, apes and reptiles house.

Positive: Wonderful zoo with different and rare animals. Kids really enjoyed. Especially in playground and goat touch and feel ground. Negative: Tiger and Lion were missing on our visit, Many animals displayed not available inside cage.
