Create an itinerary including Imperial Palace of Goslar
At the foot of the Rammelsberg hill in the quaint town of Gosler, the historic Imperial Palace of Goslar-- better known as the Imperial Palace of Goslar-- was a favorite imperial residence of the Saxon and Salic emperors dating back to the 11th century. Together with the town's 47 churches, chapels, and monasteries, the area has been dubbed Rome of the North. Kaiserhaus, the oldest and best preserved of the buildings, was the largest secular building in 11th-century Germany. Visit the Imperial Palace to see the two-story hall, imperial throne, the family's old living quarters, and imperial hall, which is decorated with monumental murals by H. Wislicenus. • A very beautiful place and the interior is extremely fascinating. It also has a very beautiful landscape and the building is very regal. A must see place if you are ever in Goslar.

  • Beautiful palace. Unfortunately we didn't have time to see inside. Still it's worth going if you are visiting Goslar. The palace is near to the city centre in walkable distance. There are lot of parking options nearby as well.
  • Unfortunately I couldn't get inside the palace when l visited the place. However, the tour outside was successful with plenty of photos were taken.
  • Very interesting place and helpful staff
  • The tower has around 250 more or less of stairs, and on each stairs has been written historical names that related to the town itself (That is what I understood at least). From the top of the tower, you can get a great view of the town itself. It was beautiful experience. Worth to try and it cost only 2 euros to enter the tower.
  • I and my family were lucky to have visited the Imperial Palace (Kaiserpflaz) at Goslar, a UNESCO World Heritage, before we left Germany (that was long ago, but my memory of this wonderful place remains). From Hannover we took a regular train to Goslar main station for about an hour. The Goslar old town (Altestadt) is about as old as ten centuries. The palace is a museum exhibiting old historical paintings and artefacts. We came in winter, so it was chilly, but from here we still caught the bus to take a short visit to the ski resort in nearby university town Clausthal-Zellerfeld.
