Maschsee, an artificial, 78 hectare (193 acre) lake, provides a picturesque setting for walking, bicycling, or skating on the 6 km (3.7 mi) of pathways around its banks. Look for some of the notable works of art on the northern side of the lake, such as the 6 m (19.7 ft)steel sculpture "Hellebardier" by Alexander Calder. Beautiful, relatively small area filled up with pleasant atmosphere, stunning architecture, small lake plus it's cute habitats, and huge old trees. Nice place to take time and relax while exploring the city.

very beautiful place. where you can go with family, friends and also alone. very relaxing, ducks around, some ice. very nice. the pictures is from the view from Rathaus Turm, it is 4,00€ to go there.

One of the very beautiful places in Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) state. I would highly recommend visiting it. The lake is surrounded by biking lane and suitable for both walking and jogging. Good for family activities. The lake is very beautiful the surrounding area is very green. It is an excellent place for relaxing. The connections are available.
