Named in honor of the man who constructed it, Old Bridge (Karl Theodor Bridge) stands as one of Heidelberg's most iconic landmarks. Admire the bridge's nine giant sandstone arches and its massive ornate gate. Wander from bank to bank of the Necker river for camera-ready views of the old city's churches, spires, and fortress. Keep an eye out for the statues--one is Carl Theodor--along the bridge. Don't miss the tribute to the former resident "bridge monkey" on the south bank. Amazing famous bridge with beyond beautiful sights 😍. Pictures & videos don't do it justice. Everywhere you look here is a scenic view 📸. Was a worthy & breathtaking experience, also a great place for a date. Also, the famous Heidelberg castle is not too far away walking distance from the old bridge. Highly recommend checking them both out! 💯

Nice place close to the bridge. Alex at reception was very helpful. Early morning or late night strolls in the bridge and the town are easy. Rooms were spacious. Beds very comfortable and bathroom nice and clean. All over a nice place to stay.

The long and wide streets that need to be visited, the houses and buildings made of historical architecture, together with the artifacts from Heidelberg's past, are the people who come to visit many places in the world; making it into history. We visited this place on a really hot summer day so I was quite fuzzy and confused while being there, but you can't mistake that view, can you? The sky had a lovely color and we were able to enjoy our short trip to that bridge. Maybe we should come back on a milder day to enjoy it a bit more LOL

An ancient bridge with a long historical atmosphere is also one of the landmarks frequently visited by many tourists who visit the ancient city of Heidelberg. Although it was a bit pity to see the construction notice in the middle of the bridge deck that day (2022/10/31), the beauty of the amazing scene seen from both ends of the bridge still remains the same!
