Create an itinerary including Laboe Naval Memorial
Laboe Naval Memorial originally was a memorial to the fallen members of the Kaiserliche Marine during World War I. After World War II, it was converted into an internationally accepted peace monument. Today, it commemorates all sailors of every nationality who died during the World Wars. Spend some time to reflect on history in this sobering memorial, and climb to the top of the tower for views of the bay. The tower also includes an exhibition about the German Naval Forces since the 19th century. You can buy a joint ticket for the Naval Memorial and the submarine U-995 just across the road, which is also worth a visit. • Just visit if you repsect seamen in WWII, absorbing, totally. The models, stories and tributes to the brave seamen. And I served in the Merchant Navy, this whole place is a stunning tribute to all...

  • In memory to the fallen soldiers. The memorial looks powerful and depressive. Inside there are some pictures and stories about the war time. I like the wall with many submarines, it shows how many of them sank. It is crazy. So many lost lives. The tower is quite high and inside is a bit creepy if you walk the stairs. The view from the tower is great. It is definitely worth seeing it.
  • An amazing memorial to the sailors of the German navy who have lost their lives in conflict. It has a lift to the top which offers panoramic views of the kiel area. Nearby is the u595, the last German u boat in existence. Well worth a visit.
  • A very good place. Deserve to visit and spend all day in this place ( Including Laboe). It was especially good because it was not just museum, it is also memorial for soldiers fought in the sea for their countries. I can't read german so well but it was also meaningful for foreign traveler like me.
  • Not too high up, has an elevator (but it only caries about three people at once, so there's probably a queue). The view from up top is amazing and definitely worth the visit.
  • This place is very interesting. There are many types of ship models with descriptions and various monuments for fallen sailors. I recommend a tour of the submarine at the end. The price of a complete ticket is 10 euros for an adult.
