Grassi Museum welcomes visitors to the Ethnography Museum, the Musical Instruments Museum, and the Applied Arts Museum. Each has both permanent exhibits and alternating special exhibitions. Tour the Art Deco column hall, designed in shining red, gold, and blue, with its 12 ceiling-high columns. Walk through the inner courtyards, then check out the old Johannis cemetery. The permanent exhibition "From Ancient Times to Historism" covers more than 3,000 years of world art history. Many special exhibitions appear regularly throughout the year, such as the Grassi Trade Fair at the end of October. The onsite café is a nice resting spot between museums. Beautiful and interesting exhibits in this Museum. The architecture is nice and fits perfectly the space . Right now there is a great exhibition about analog photography. You have to go and have a look!
-
Only could visit the part about musical instruments. Almost everything was exclusively in German. Had to translate most of it with my cell phone. I don't recommend it if you don't speak German. If you do, the exposition is quite interesting and many items are intriguing
