Rotter Glas - Crystal since 1870, Lubeck

Product beautiful but customer service/advice in my case miserable. I had a glass sent to Switzerland and when ordering I asked what the additional costs would be with shipping AND customs. I have now received a separate additional customs invoice that I am supposed to pay. Now the paid shipping + customs costs exceed the value of the product. If I had been advised correctly, I would not have ordered the product! Unfortunately, the accessibility for queries both by email and by phone was miserable (it was only picked up on the 10th call and I still didn't get an answer to the email 1 week later). Unfortunately only 2 stars, the products are excellent, but unfortunately the customer service is de facto non-existent. Nobody ever answers the phone. With such expensive products, you also expect a corresponding service.

In the Lübeck manufactory Rotter Glas Germany, hand-blown crystal glass is refined into unique pieces. The colored mugs have been ground by hand in our company since 1870. Noble craftsmanship Made in Germany - and already in the fourth generation. The machined cased mugs consist of two layers of glass: the inner clear glass is covered with a colored glass layer. The decor is created by the glass refiners grinding off the colored layer at the desired location. And that requires tact and a trained eye: only after three years of training and around seven years of professional experience do they have enough craftsmanship and artistry to implement the unmistakable decors flawlessly.

The glasses are sparkling treasures of German table culture. It is particularly nice that you can visit the exhibition and workshop and watch the glass cutters at work.

Unique crystal glass from Lübeck. A fascinating craft workshop that grinds sparkling works of art before the eyes of the visitors. A visit there is worthwhile.
