    The tour through the monastery is very cool. It is just so old and things are labeled well, but mostly in German. The museum is absolutely amazing-there are artifacts as well as really great exhibits....  more

    It is not very famous, but impressive UNESCO site. The have a lot to see and learn about monks who lives there and their home. The only downside is very little information in language then German.

    A nice afternoon in walkenried. The museum does not look it from the outside, but a an absolute must see. The audiotour takes you right back in time, while walking through the old buildings. The tour....  more

    The monastery has a rich past which is interesting to learn. The audio guide explains the various parts in detail. The exhibition on the first floor tells a bit more about the history. If you come for the richness of a monastery, you might be disappointed. The value of this Unesco site is the history of the monastery and it's region.

    Interesting location in the middle of the Harz Mountain, unfortunately the kiosk is closed because of covid in these days
