Agii Apostoli Beach, Chania Town

Lovely beach in the winter months to stroll along as it has lovely golden sand and it’s clean. We visited in February and the waters were calm and the water clear and turquoise.

The beautiful place men expensive to rent a sunbed. The beach is hidden from the rest of the sea, therefore the sea there is calm, nice to swim in when there is a storm

2 beaches in one place you can always find cover for wind if needed. The waves are not very big so it is good children. There is a lot of different fish on the site and if you are lucky you can also see some octopus in the rocky area. Very good parking places for your car. There is also places where you can change your clothes

Agii Apostoli = Iguana beach, it has 2 names, but it is the same beach. I didn’t like it at all, but it looked best compared to other 2 beaches near by. •Good things: it is secluded from the winds and you can find natural shade if you are lucky and fast enough. But the shade from the trees will take over most of the left side of the beach by 3pm. •Bad things: sand is horrible. It looks like dirt, but 95% of the beaches in Crete look like this beach, and have horrible sand. Don’t let anybody tell you any different! Chalkidiki are Maldives compared to Crete. Everything is dirty - sand and the water. You can find so many cigarettes and foil everywhere, and other leftovers. But dirt is problem in all the beaches in Crete. Especially in Balos, were there are so many people and nobody cares about anything but themselves. So people are the problem. I also saw several people spitting in the sand which is disgusting and so rude. The water in this beach is dark, and has some small fishes that are biting you until you just have it enough and go out. Also there are some stones in the shallow water so be careful when you go inside the water. When we were there, around 2pm a group of fully cloth women went into the water, in their T-shirts and skirts, it looked also rude and disgusting so we just left.

Stunning little beach, this is one out of 5!!! The sunsets and sunrises would be amazing here so keep an eye out for that! Super chill and beautiful little church on the top with these views
