The Governor's Olive Mill, Agios Matheos

This was without a doubt one of the most interesting, educational, and fun experiences I’ve had in Greece. Spyro was so extremely knowledgeable, well spoken, and kind. The way he presented the olive oil making process was easy to follow and engaging, and the tasting was an amazing experience. The mission, motive, and goal of the Governor olive oil company of Corfu is both honorable and necessary to the maintenance of Ancient and Modern Greek traditions. And all of these are in addition to the necessities of maintaining the organic process of creating the high quality olive oil that this company produces for its immense health benefit. Lastly the olive oil itself. If you weren’t to purchase it for any of the other reasons you would learn about throughout the tour, you’d have to get it for its flavor. As a Greek and an individual who has partaken in olive oil consumption for my entire life, this is the best that you will find on the market and it is so well worth the price. I know that I will be purchasing this olive oil for many years to come, and I hope that you do as well.

Very cool place. You will learn everything about olives 🫒 , the history of Athen & the importance of this little fruit for Greece 🇬🇷. There are over 4,5M olive trees on Corfu Island. Make sure to make the tour of the factory with the testing in the end. The small tour with 1-1,5h is enough and costs 15€.

YOU SIMPLY CANNOT COME TO CORFU AND NOT SEE THIS PLACE! The Governor’s Olive Mill is an exceptional experience with a beautiful family heritage. My partner and I signed up for the olive tasting and we completely fell in love with the passion, process and history of the mill. I highly recommend it to families, individuals, couples and sole travellers. It is a great experience and their olive oil is delicious and I truly wish I could have bought more home

Very cool experience to learn more about olive oil and it’s close relation to Greek culture. During the tour the friendly tour guide told passionately about the process of making olive oil and it’s history at the Governor’s farm. The tour included some nice olive oil tasting learning the difference between three kinds of olive oil. This is a place worth visiting and taking a tour is definitely recommended.

Highly recommended Must do We had one of the best experience on our holiday to corfu. We visited on 11 May 2022. We were only 5 of us including my 4 months old boy. George and his team made the tour so informative yet so interesting. First and best olive testing every done . Their place is very beautiful well organised. George took us to visit their olive plantation where we got to see 1500 years old olive tree, which was very pretty place. My little boy loved George had fun on tour! Must visit on your holiday 👶🏻 Highly recommended you cannot go to Corfu and not do this tour
