Ammoudi Beach, Agios Nikolaos

The water is stunning, crystal clear and it's nice a warm. Couldn't ask for a better beach. Beautiful scenery!

Great beach, good for families but also for single people

Even though there are a lot of people, it is for me personally one of the best beaches in Aigos

A great little beach with umbrellas and very comfortable sunbeds at 10 euros per day. It's more like a club on the sea: they play lounge music all day (a pretty good selection and the right volume, congratulations to whoever chooses the playlists) and the beach has a bar, good showers and toilets too. I haven't tried the food, but I saw some people eating good dishes. The sea is very calm here, even in windy days, and the sandy beach makes entering the water a pleasant experience (no shoes needed). The only, minor downside is that the water is closer than in other Cretan beaches, but it's ok all in all. It's possible to reserve in advance, making this an ideal option for weekend days, when finding an umbrella on the spot might be hard in other beaches.

This is a tiny beach. There is not much of a beach, to be honest. Most of the space is taken by cafes and the strip of sand is small. There are sun beds and umbrellas at €10. The water is okay. Almyros beach is leaps and bounds better. Proximity to good restaurants is better here though.
