Analipsi Beach, Hersonissos

We’ve heard this is one of the top ten beaches in Crete Due to its natural rock formations Totally not swimmable Unless you’re up for getting hurt (or maybe it’s a slightly stormy day) There’re fancy lounges and beds(?) here Around 6€ for two lounges and one umbrella I’ve found some super pretty stones here

Nice sandy beach. We had first seen it during our hotel transfer and decided to visit. Easily accessible with lots of parking spaces. The only drawback is that the first few meters of sea bottom are rocky, making the entrance and exit a bit more complicated.

Analipsi is a small village, approx 20 mins from Heraklion airport. There is some tourism but not to the extent of the neighbouring villages such as Malia and Cheronissos. The beach ranges from the hotel guests only places to places charging a whopping €12 for 2 sunloungers and an umbrella, with the average being €6 for 2 sunloungers and an umbrella. It is all about what you are looking for: right by all the shops and restaurant you will find more action such as the watersports center or, if you head towards the left, to the very (dead) end of the road, a lovely quiet part of the beach. Water is clean, getting into the sea can be a bit rocky.

Nice beach, unfortunately, too much sharp rocks around...

Amazing place, and the views from when we went parasailing were unbelievable
