MINOAN'S WORLD, Chania Town

Super cool! We learned more history about the Greek history and had very much fun in the 9d cinema! Jump scares and thrills. Seeing the reconstruction of the Knossos Palace was a great addition to visiting the ruins.

Downtown Chania and the perfect respite from the heat for around 45 minutes of 9D excitement with a small bit of history thrown into the mix. The stafff at this location are extremely hospitable and it is fun for both big and small kids.

We loved it! It's a quirky little place. Lovely staff showed us how to take the best 3D photos in the first room(which also gave an introduction to the Minoan culture). The cinema experience was fab. Information given in such an exciting way. I don't want to give details away as there are surprises! The last part in the cinema is not cultural...just pure fun. We were a mixed generation group from 8 to oldies, we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and came out laughing and smiling (and feeling liked we had learned things). It was also a wonderful oasis of air-conditioning that gave relief from the summer heat.

Friendly family run business, easy to find in the centre of Chania. Opportunity to take photos of a 3D nature in the museum part. Fun 9D cinema experience, we both enjoyed it and also learnt about the Greek gods and the Minoan way of life. Extra film on a roller coaster which was great. Definitely recommend a trip here, if you want a break from the beach and heat.

We had a good time at Minoan’s World, (two American adults, a 3 year old child, and a grandmother) but set your expectations correctly. There is a single room with 4 or 5 artwork / models of the ancient Minoan civilization along with information plaque. At most takes ~15 min, best while you wait for the next movie showing. Then the movie is 4 separate short 5 minute videos in active chairs that rock, vibrate, blow air, spray water, etc. The room fills with bubbles a few times and even “snow” bubbles. The first are Crete / Minoan, then the last film was an unrelated roller-coaster ride through Southwest USA, but it was fun. We got a little history, some entertainment, and our 3 yo yelled “again!” when it was all done with. A bit expensive for the amount of time, but we thought it was worth it.
