We stayed in Chania 3 fantastic days, it was windy but we enjoyed the old town, old port and our beautiful villa at Mariposa. The sea food is amazing and food in general is great.

Worth visiting it because of its historical importance, peaceful area full of green (chilly during summer), panoramic view of the city and its bay. Be prepared to see an abandoned historical monument, dirty corners and aisles and dozens of strays (cats mostly) all over the space. Scan with your smart mobile the relevant signs to dive more into useful info.

Yes, the view of Chania even at night is great. Nice spot to "learn" history. It's a kind of a different (love)spot to have a conversation with your partner.

Lovely spot with amazing views over Chania with the sound of the cicadas in the background. I loved the story of the human flagpole and his statue. A truly inspirational story of heroism.
