Temple of Apollo In Delphi
Walk among the World Heritage-listed remains of Temple of Apollo In Delphi, a Doric temple dedicated to the great Greek god of music, sun, and poetry. First built around the 7th century BCE, the temple was subsequently destroyed and reconstructed multiple times. Some ruins of the once-great, six-columned, fifteen-sided temple still stand and have been partially restored. Enjoy panoramic views of Mount Parnassus from here. Be sure to wear comfortable footwear; it's quite a walk to reach the temple, which is part of a greater cluster of archeological sites. Make your Delphi itinerary with Klarna Trips to find out what to see and where to go.

impressive and very significant to the archaeological site. It is part of the main ruins and comes on the first level of climb - rich in history and significance. Worth a visit.

It is something else to view this historical place and imagine the immensity of it. Pilgrims had to be very devoted to find their way here.

We purchased our tickets online so made it simple. The parking was a bit far away but worth the walk. The history is amazing but the view is absolutely incredible. This is not a hard walk for most...

Fabulous ruins. You reach the site not far from Delphi and then walk up through it, reaching the stadium at the top finally. It's a steep walk if it's hot, but it's worth going all the way to the stadium if you can. There are trees planted throughout the site which provide little shady spots if the heat is intense

It’s amazing. The remains are so grand that it’s hard to imagine how people living in ancient times managed to build them. It’s such a holy place and really worthwhile to come to see it!

An incredible historical site from 500 BC. Built high up in the mountains, it is the site where people all over ancient Greece came to receive oracles from Pythia, the high priestess. The entry fee is around 12 euros which gives you access to the site and the museum. There are toilets and a café. I would recommend you visit if you are able to.

Here you can breathe a magical air. It's like being in another dimension... Walking along the road that leads to the Temple of Apollo, it's like following the same steps as those who went to the Pythia to get an answer. This Temple is absolutely beautiful and deserves lot of attention due to its architecture. The archaeological site is not very big, so you have time to visit everything and linger on the beauty of this place. The site is divided into three parts: the main part with the Temple of Apollo, the Temple of Athena located further down and the Gymnasium. The Museum is not far from the main entrance.
-
Great temple with historic value, it takes a while to get there but the entrance is not that expensive and everything is well explained, I recommend going here with a guide for the full experience, the ticket is 12 euros and includes a visit to the museum. Both sites have toilets
