Kotsanas Museum, Heraklion

This museum has been my absolute favorite so far. It's absolutely fascinating to see the technology people were dreaming up so long ago. The staff was absolutely FANTASTIC. So knowledgeable. Perfect English. Excellent demonstrations that I never wanted to end. It's a small space but we spent almost two hours in there reading and marveling at the ancient designs brought to life. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip....and this was literally just a little place we found on google. If your science or history minded, you've gotta check this place out.

The best museum to see on the island. The crew there is small and above and beyond talented I'm explaining all the technologies the Greeks used in the past. It is literally my best experience ever at any museum ever. Loved it and totally recommend it being an engineer myself.

The museum may be small. But packed with lots of cool invention facts! Never knew things from early signals, robotics were invented by Greek people! Easily spend more than an hour exploring through the different gadgets.

Small but very interesting museum to visit with some cool and informative exhibits. It's small - more like a passion project of one individual - so you don't need more than an hour or so here. Lots of cool automation examples from Greek history.

This place is amazing! Seeing the descriptions, videos and actually working models of different Greek inventions really brought them to life, and even more so with the explanation of the people in the museum. A must for anyone with a slice of curiosity, and even more so for anyone interested in engineering and technology:).
