    I'm not religious. But this monastery is worth a visit. The best part is the museum inside. It is completely free. Though there are only limited rooms that you can see because most doors are closed...

    The Mega Spileon monastery was serene and quiet. If you are travelling through this area, it is worth stopping because this location has a very rich history. Inside, you'll find an icon of Mary and Jesus that was discovered in the cave around which this monastery built a church. Please keep in mind that there is a semi-strict dress code in place if you wish to enter the sanctuary.

    A beautiful monastery hidden deep in Mount Chelmos, very close to Kalavryta and Zachlorou. One of the oldest monasteries you can find. A must stop destination with amazing view, unbelievable artworks from byzantine period and long history. It is easily accesible and you will not regret your visit in this place!
