An important nesting ground for sea turtles, Laganas Beach stretches along the southeastern coastline of the island of Zakynthos. Despite being part of a protected marine park--established to protect the endangered loggerhead sea turtles--the beach remains one of the island's major tourist attractions. The wider waterfront area contains more than 100 bars and nightclubs, while the beach itself features several snack bars and traditional taverns, located just steps from the sea. This is the most crowded spot on Zakynthos all through the day and well into the wee hours of the night, so be sure to stake out your piece of warm sand as early as you can. Very crowded if you walk on to the beach though the sand is great and the water shallow. Quite a few places to eat at this end of the beach. Lol many 18 to 30 here and it''s very noisy at night from all the club's, I stayed here years ago on a cheap break and it was good.

Nice beach, at eaving you can find turtles. It jas a lot of beach bars, just choose one and enjoj in drinks and sea. It is made of sand and water is really nice to play water sports and swim.

5/5, highly recommend, nice Beach, long but narrow but its not a problem, sunbeds are free for the whole day as long as you order something from the restaurant, either food or drink. Very warm sea, clear and simply beautiful. It is even possible to spot a turtle! One minor issue is that all restaurants are close to each other and the music played can be heard from 3/4 different restaurants.

It's like Bath water. Inbetween the two resorts its crystal clear, shallow beach so safe. Beach shuts at sunset and opens at 7am to leave the loggerhead turtles peace to come ashore and lay their eggs.
