Makris Gialos Beach, Makris Gialos

We came at the end of the season and this beach is the nicest, most tranquil place to have a swim and a chill on the beach. We did two days in a row as we loved it here so much...there's a lot of shade from the cliff that covers the middle and then far side of the beach - but maybe we should have stayed in it as we are pink and sore this morning 🤕 If we come back to Zante it will definitely be on our list of places to go!

Nice pebbled beach, little bit narrow, full with sunbeds and small place for a towel. Good to stay there for a few hours. Restaurants and bars around, parking space is very limited so the main road is full on both side making traffic jams and slowing it down.

Very nice pebble beach. It’s a bit narrow but you may find place to put your stuff or you can rent sunbeds and umbrella. Suggested to come early so you can enjoy the caves with sun light. Also you can rent boat to caves and navagio ship wreck from here.

Makris Gialos is wonder beach to go on the morning, you can enjoy the very pleasant first rays of sun, specially during summer, where temperatures can get smoking hot after 10:00h. You can rent Sind bed for 5 euro, which I think is expensive, or you can just lay down near the rock in the end side of the beach.

The classic beach type of Greece. Cool waters clean with vivid colors and transparent which allows you to see the bottom. Very beautiful place for your swim or sunbath. This place makes you wanna drink these waters and don't swim in them 😅
