Goumas Estate - Art & Wine Winery, Maries

This was the highlight of our trip even though it started raining, the hosts quickly moved us inside and I now plan to go wine tasting on every holiday. I usually don’t drink wine and I had a brilliant time, we had 7 wines to taste and several delicious snacks. We even stayed afterwards to enjoy a bottle it was so lovely.

Non-touristy.. Just Greek wine, on Greek time... If you want to have a small break and try some good and some interesting (smoked) wine, this is the place for you.

Great experience, very nice and cosy place, the winery looks like a monastery. 😊 The owners are so nice and kind! You can come without previous reservation, and they attend you very carefully, explaining everything about the wines and winery. Wines also very good and tasty. We liked all of them, including the sweet ones. 👏 Recommended.

After searching for various winery’s, we happened to have found the one… It’s name:.. Goumas Wine Estate! With it’s beautiful vineyards in their own backyard for everyone to have a look around in, just simply amazing. Wines categorized by their age, with a variation of white to red and dessert wines, pure greatness. They offer a lovely combination off bites next to the wines, all homemade. Visit them! Before you leave the island. Yamas!

We had a fantastic visit. We did the premium wine tasting for 25/person. Everything was amazing, from the food to the wines to the very friendly staff members who showed us around and explained everything. They also do have some great wines and we got some for the holidays and some to take back home. It’s a beautiful estate in the mountains, very peaceful and with a great atmosphere. We also visited the other winery in Zakynthos (Grampsas) but have to say that the service and the atmosphere of the wine tasting at Goumas Winery was way nicer!
