Amoudi Bay, Oia

Lovely place, can also be reached with a car, sometimes parking some distance away. Full of restaurants mostly seafood. There is a nice path from the edge of the pier along the cliff, recommend walking it as much as possible inside. At a staged point there was an avalanche, you can pass over it. In summary, the view from the pier on the restaurants is amazing. Worth going down even if you will arrive on foot down the stairway.

Beautiful bay. The seafood is fresh caught and delicious. The trip up and down the stairs is a moderate climb but well worth it. There is a swimming area if you walk around the cliff but not a beach type. Strong swimmers only.

The walk there took some work, the path falls away at some points when heading to the swimming area. We had lunch first, at the bottom of the bay, just light snacks. We spent the day swimming and jumping off of the cliff right out in the water. Two paths up to the jumping point, the rock path looks difficult, but there are handholds the whole way. You can also get up by walking up to the bell tower. A great way to relax at the end of our trip. Definitely swim out into the open water for the view of Oia.

Great place for a swim if you are in Oia or even more so if you have just completed the Fira to Oia hike. To find the swimming part, go down all the stairs and right at the end Turn left Keep walking through the restaurant and follow the path even through the rocks At the other end You will find a place to swim You can swim out to the big rock/island and there is a platform you can jump off of Just be careful when entering the water Some of the rocks are rather sharp

Absolutely beautiful place no matter what time of day you go there. If you want to go for the sunset view, make sure to make a reservation beforehand or it'll all be full. We walked down for lunch and it was amazing - the seafood is so fresh. The walk up back to Oia can be very tiring so watch out.
