Efficient, well-run port with plenty of places to eat (especially seafood) before and after your ferry trip to the islands of Andros, Tinos, Mykonos and others of the Cyclades group. It’s a about 45 minutes from Piraeus by car.

Very nice port with a pay storage so you can leave your luggage while having a lunch, walking around till your ferry comes.

Never experienced such a chaotic, unorganized disembarkation and taxi waiting. And that was in early July - just don't want to even think how it is in August... The port is too small for the many ferries and boats, many arriving within the same 30 minute-period. The infrastructure and vehicle circulation need a serious revamping. The worst is the 'area' to wait for taxis, literally on the pier where cat-type boats dock to disembark, seriously jeopardizing security of all. The behavior of the limeniko employees is beyond rudeness. They and their management should be trained by their colleagues of the tiniest ports in the islands, safer and better organized. It is weird that relevant ministries/authorities close their eyes on the situation.
