We dropped into the winery with our interest sparked from reading about the organic and biodynamic methods they employ. The winery was actually closed as they were preparing for a big tasting event...

A small, family-run winery where we had the chance to taste and buy some excellent white and red wines. The owner and oenologist was there to explain her philosophy and we had a very pleasant chat...

Incredible wine and a great tasting experience in an intimate and family style environment. All the wines range around 10 euros, and give an amazing sense of the native grapes of Crete. Very special. And the tasting is very informative and knowledgable - Christos was friendly, very well informed and genuinely engaging. Will 10/10 come again!

Fabulous complex wines, a place full of love and creativity, the Tour de Force Ειρήνη (the power house wine maker behind these pure bio wines), the fabulous Christo presenting and the homey food - genuine salt of the earth people and wines

We had the full "platinum" experience which included nine wines, 6 types of food, and, normally, a short tour of the winery and a visit to a vineyard. The tour and visit could not happen for operational reasons which is a shame, maybe it could have been mentioned when we made the reservation. If September isn't a good time to visit the vineyard just say so in advance. It did not ruin the experience but it is disappointing. The platinum tasting is very extensive. You first get a lecture about all the different wines of which you will taste 9. I would suggest cutting this up so you'd have some info, then wine, then more info and so on. It's A LOT of info to absorb. Regardless the sommelier was very friendly and knowledgeable. The accompanying food is great, the meat dishes (pork shank, braised veal, pork in lemon) were some of the best I had on Crete and there was very good cheese as well. The portions were so big, we could not finish all our plates. We ended up buying a couple of wines. By weird coincidence, after our visit we discovered the local beach mini market sold Silva wine for a couple Euro less than at the family's vineyard shop itself. Not something you'd expect - I don't mind supporting family businesses, but if you're looking at certain wines to buy and are conscious about €€ than be sure to check the local super/mini markets too - you might find a bargain.

Best winery visit experience. Loved every bit of it. Very familial, great wine and you get to see the behind the scenes of one of the best wineries in the region. The Silva family are very passionate to share their different and unique wine profiles with everyone. For wine lovers, this is a must visit. Haroula (the daughter) will bring you through an amazing experience.

the best was the food that you can take with the tasting .very good quality. In the cellar they did not show us the barrels. The stainless steel tanks are outdoors, really it is a facility nit for showing!!. We tasted a large part of the winery's wines (from 2016) and they definitely do not have aging capacity, showing themselves to be evolved.
