Gerakas Beach, Vasilikos

They allow 5-6 people per umbrella. It's a madhouse here. People are on top of each other. So crowded. 30 euro 1 umbrella and 2 chairs. No beach bars, restaurants and toilets. There are only signs 🪧 with information and maybe eggs in the sand. We didn’t see turtles 🐢 Turtle Centrer was closed. Sad.

Nice beach rocky foreshore but about 5-10 metres of sand before the water. This is the turtles nesting beach so most of it rightly too is cordoned off for the eggs. Thank god not built up to beach bars but could do with getting rid of sun loungers also. This is not a party beach but a nature reserve. There is a couple of restraunts just back up the road from the beach and the geology in the area is fascinating. Get rid of the sun beds and it would be great leave them for the party beaches. There is plenty of those within a few kilometres.

By FAR the best beach of zakinthos. Even if crowded it doesn't get annoying cause it's huge and you will still find a spot. Sandy inside and out, clean, peaceful, just lovely. No idea about the prices of the umbrellas and sunbeds though cause every time we visited we sat on the free side of the beach.

This might not be as picturesque as other beaches on this island but it's the best one to sit and relax there. Plenty of spots to put your umbrella or rent one if you want to. The fine sand and crystal clear waters makes it perfect for swimming and messing around.

Wonderful beach with very fine sand and crystal clear water. It's usually not too crowded and you have a lot of space until the water starts to get deep. We even had a chance to see a baby turtles start its first swim.
