    Nice church, and architecture, has a nice tower before the church, and is dedicated to Ascension; at this time some procession will be held.

    Ascension and Agioi Saranda the church, which definitely needs highlighting from the side of A. Roma. Here it gets lost in the pavilion and the signs of the shops that are standing on the road surface and on the sidewalks.

    It is located between two parallel central streets of the city, Terceti and Roma. The entrance to the temple is on Terceti. A bust of Antonio Martelau, who was the teacher of Foscolos and Solomos, is placed in its courtyard. The architectural style of the church is, as in almost all the churches of the island, basilica. Because it doesn't have a large courtyard, it seems a bit squeezed between the neighboring buildings.

    Beautiful church ... unfortunately it closes in a crowded center .... a little sacrificed in the location .. but always suggestive .. for sure at nightfall ...
