We found the museum had not much history and really was a lot of rocks and pretty thing to look at but we didn’t come out knowing any more about Hungary than when we went in.

Not the best museum for tourists: -Some signs weren’t translated in English -The signs that were in English were very hard to read, the sentences didn’t get to the main point and very boringly formulated. So for me and my friend it was mostly looking at pretty things instead of learning something. We went on a national holiday so the entry tickets were free which was nice!

We spend just over 3 hours here, enough to see a nice part of the general exhibition and the Roman part downstairs. It's a fun interesting museum with nice staff, decent opening hours, affordable entrance price (though at 2900 HUF a bit more then the train and military museums I've been to before in Budapest which were 2000), and the bilingual information everywhere is quite well done. We liked it.

Definitely buy tickets in advance to avoid the line. Only two desks so the line goes on forever. The museum itself is cute, there are some really cool exhibitions but it's really small compared to most national museums which was surprising for me.

Nice museum with some really interesting exhibits, though the staff aren’t very pleasant. I believe it was $7-$8 per person, really affordable, but they don’t tell you that you also need a “photo ticket” to be allowed to take pics of the exhibits. We absolutely would’ve paid this had we known if was necessary, and did take a few before one of the staff notified us that doing so required a specific ticket. It’d make more sense to work this additional fee into the price for general admission, as I think most people would like to take photos.

We used Budapest card to enter. Good museum but storyline could have been better. After 17th century storyline and evidences do not match. Something was missing. Yet you can learn a much more thing inside.
