  • Located very close to the M1 highway, Turul Monument is a must to check out. Parking is easy and the view is really nice!

  • Coming from the train station, there's a straightforward way to get on foot to the bottom of the hill (which Maps doesn't give you). Then, you'll have to climb up many set of stairs, difficult but enjoyable, especially once you reach the top and the big bird sculpture! A 180-view on a clear day is always a nice thing. You can't really sit just in front, as the terrain is not good for it, nor there are benches, plus there's always people coming and going. Regardless, I would recommend going if in the area.
  • The Turul is a mythical bird of prey and a national symbol of Hungarians. The massive monument overlooks the surrounding countryside. Nice walking paths and also a great cave to explore.
  • Massive monument and national symbol, it's a must see if you are in the area. The views on the city underneath from the cliffs just below are stunning. Be sure to take good walking shoes as most of the nearby walking trails are uneven. There are a couple mobile bistros on the way to the monument, next to the parking lot (which does get busy.)
  • My family and I had a great time hiking around here and were able to see the largest bronze Turul bird in Europe? The falcon has a gilded crown on its head
  • Great views, there is a cave nearby that is interesting too. Restaurant, but also place to have a picknick or barbecue.
