Keli Sea Tours, Akureyri

Great Tour, friendly crew and nice boat. When seeing all the other overloaded boats around us, we were very happy that we found Keli Tours, and didn't regret to book our tour. We had a great time and would come back at any time.

Our tour with Keli Sea Tours was absolutely wonderful! We were transported 20-30 minutes down the fjord by minibus, to a much more isolated dock, surrounded by the beauty of Grenevik, rather than the busyness of the cruise ship port. The guide was friendly and shared personal family tales and local history along the drive. We spotted many whales during our tour, appreciated the warms drinks and snacks, and felt so comfortable and safe with our three children aboard the ship. Thank you for creating our favorite Iceland memory!

Very nice tour. When I booked I was looking for something authentic and found Keli Sea Tour which is a brothers’ company. The boat is not located in Akureyri but they pick you up in town and you are driven by mini bus to the boat (25/30 min of drive). The communication was perfect as I exchanged few emails and always received quick answers. The day we booked the weather conditions were not good, so they called me to cancel and proposed to refund or book us the next day. We booked the next day. We saw many whales. It was amazing and we enjoyed it very much. I definitely recommend to go with them. Very trustable and nice owners.

Very nice tour, we had a fantastic time on the Áskell Egilsson and spent the majority of our time up close with the whales. The departure port was a little outside the city, but spending more time with the whales was well worth the short bus-ride. Since the group-size was small the boat was not crowded at all. We would definitly book here again and highly recommend the crew. They obviously have a passion for their craft and really made an effort to show us as many whales as possible.

We saw one humpback whale several times even showing us its tail twice! It was an awesome experience! The captain is a professional, did not want to only earn the money, was very willing to give any information, even turned the boat back to the open sea on a way to the harbour to have one last chance to see the whale (it was an extra!). Highly recommended!
